It can do that, but it takes much much longer, and depending on how often you use specific words, they may still be ranked lower than the keyboard's own native predictions. The Swype key is where all of your options are like dictionaries, tips and tricks, help menus and everything else you may need. Swiftkey seems to be a particularly bad offender, though I must admit I've only tinkered with it a little bit so far.

Or is it? To quickly replace a word, simply single-tap or double-tap on the word and Swype a replacement word. You're on an older version of the Beta that had an issue with the user dictionary. SwiftKey's word prediction kicks in when you hit the first letter (sometimes sooner).
Luckily, it is just as quick to add proper caps to your messages as it is to type out a super speedy text.
